The Friendly Fisherman restaurant is situated on the boardwalk at John's Pass. The postal address is Madeira Beach, but you need to drive to and park in the John's Pass area. You will have to pay for parking meters.

We had breakfast there this week and the service and food were great. We were greeted immediately and shown to a booth by the window, which looks out to the boardwalk and water.

Our server gave us menus and took our drinks order. Len and our friend had orange juice @ $1.95 and I had decaffeinated coffee @ $1.75.

I was the first to order and chose the Eggs Benedict with sausage @ $5.45, Len decided on the sausage gravy and homemade biscuits @ $3.95 and our friend had the Eggs Benedict with ham.

Our server came back with more coffee for me while we were waiting to eat. Our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. It was perfectly cooked and looked delicious. I have to say that the Hollandaise sauce was extremely good. Even Len enjoyed his biscuits and gravy and it takes a lot for him to praise a restaurant meal.

Our server came back twice more to refill my coffee. Our friend took care of the bill so we left the tip.

We have been to the Friendly Fisherman most years when at our timeshare in Treasure Island. Sometimes we just grab a sandwich in the downstairs open-air restaurant and bar but more often eat dinner in the Seafood restaurant.

I have enjoyed their broiled stuffed flounder dinner with Hollandaise sauce @ $14.95 and also the Captain's broiled platter @ $15.95. These come with corn fritters and 2 side items. I normally get a salad and a baked potato.

Hubbards own the Friendly Fisherman. They also have Dolphin Watch cruises, fishing boats and so much more. You can go out on one of their boats and catch your own fish. They will then fillet it, cook it, and serve it to you in the restaurant.

They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Appetizers range from $4.95 to $7.95.

Sandwiches from $4.95 to $7.95.

Salads, fresh fruit platters, smoked fish spread, and luncheon platters form $8.95 to $10.95.

Entrees from $8.95 to $19.95. However some of the fish vary as they state market price on the menu.

This sounds like a charming restaurant. Not too expensive but good food. Great review. I would go there based on this review.

I'm not a fish lover, but this would probably appeal to my husband. Sophie
