The NBA season is quickly approaching. While Kobe Bryant may not know which team he will be playing for, the rest of the NBA players are gearing up for another great season. Although not all of them will end up winning, great players deserve individual awards. Here are the predictions for the award winners of the upcoming 2007-2008 NBA season.

Most Improved: Andre Iguodala (Philadelphia 76ers)
With the other AI (Allen Iverson) gone, it's time for Andre Iguodala to shine. When Allen Iverson was traded last year, Andre Iguodala stepped up his game and became the focus on offense. Although his numbers saw a marked improvement last year, he will truly emerge this year and become an all-star.

Runners Up: Andris Biedrins (Golden State Warriors)
Although fellow teammate Monta Ellis won the Most Improved award last year, Andris Biedrins also greatly improved his game. With the Warriors' open offense around him, the high-energy and hard-working Center should see plenty of wide open lay ups and rebounds.

Runners Up: Tyrus Thomas (Chicago Bulls)
Tyrus Thomas was a great defensive player off the bench for the Bulls, especially for a rookie. Now projected to be a started, Tyrus Thomas will greatly improve just from more playing time alone, especially offensively.

Best Sixth Man: Manu Ginobili (San Antonio Spurs)
Despite being a central figure in the Spurs dynasty, Manu Ginobili has never won the sixth man award. This year should be different; with aging superstars in Tim Duncan and Michael Finley, Manu Ginobili should see an increase in action and stats.

Runners Up: Jerry Stackhouse (Dallas Mavericks)
A former superstar, Jerry Stackhouse has adjusted quite nicely on the bench. He not only provides offensive outputs but also floor leadership as well, especially in the playoff last year against Golden State.

Interesting predictions. I have a hard time buying Durant as ROY if he is going to have any trouble with that ankle.

Cool piece - congrats on getting featured on the front of the sports section. As a Nugs fan I hate to see your MVP prediction - if he has that great of a year, the Nugs will be in trouble.
