Once All Hallow's Eve
Before gifted to the young
To make light of fright.

From spiritual
To the recreational-
So goes culture's march.

A loss or a gain?
A blessing or denied pain?
It's unlikely both.

Halloween Haikus : a Trinity

Making light of fright; Transforming spiritually significant moments into childhood recreation.

Scary pic! Halloween. I shudder as the ignorant masses line up like sheep to the slaughter.
