According to a recently published Kentucky.gov press release, Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo announced that a total of 7 sexual predators were caught and arrested in a child sex predator sting that took place recently in Bowling Green, Kentucky. One of the arrests was rather shocking.

The sting went on from October 18th to October 21st of this year. During the short sting, a total of seven men, ages 24 to 41 years old, drove to an every day home in Bowling Green with intentions to harm and possibly rape or sexually molest an innocent and young child.

The men came from three different states in the southern and eastern Midwest, including Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee.

The men also came from a variety of backgrounds and careers, some being blue collared workers and others being highly respected in their towns. Many of the men had families, or even wives and children, but that still didn't stop them from coming to meet up with a minor for illegal sex.

The entire sting was part of NBC's "To Catch a Predator," one of the station's most popular shows that cracks down on internet sexual predators with the help of others.

This specific sting featured local Kentucky law enforcement, the show's regular host Chris Hansen, and volunteers from Perverted Justice, a public watchdog group committed to helping law enforcement agencies catch adults soliciting minors for sex.

Attorney General Stumbo said, "This is the third successful Child Predator Sting we have conducted. The men we arrested assumed they had been chatting online with a 13-year-old child, but police were monitoring every word. KBI and local law enforcement have now caught a total of 29 predators in the last year."

All of the men are being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky under Warren County Attorney Chris Cohron, who devotes a large portion of his career into putting dangerous predators behind bars.

It's too late for me to read, but I really want to help you. I'm sure I'll come and actually read some of your articles later! Like I said, I know what it is like, and it is definitely not fun.

As prevelant as this is becoming, I'm glad I haven't become desensitized. As I was reading the words in the beginning of your article, "with intentions to harm and possibly rape or sexually molest an innocent and young child," I cringed at the words. These are the types of stories that should be front page everyday for the purpose of acting as much as possible as a bulwark against the wave of increasing sick-os.

As a nation we have got to insist on tougher penalties. This slap on the wrist hasn't done a dam thing for the innocent children who has lost their lives. Quite frankly, if the government continues to ignore the seriousness of these offenders, then the people will have to take action, and who can blame them!
