When I was fourteen years old and started high school, I was afraid of starting at a new school. I hated that I just graduated from middle school and had to start all over again in high school. A fresh new topic in my high school was, "What are you going to major in once you get into college." Adults in and out of school told me I should choose a career. I knew that making a career choice was important. It was terrifying; thinking of my future goal was hard. I wanted a job that payed a lot. As I entered Hawthorne High School, it was time to choose a major. As the days passed, time was running out. Almost everyone expected me to come up with a major immediately. The only person that gave me comfort was my sister. My sister believed a career choice should be considered on other things besides money. Her words saved me from making the biggest mistake in my life.

In my four years of high school, just thinking about my future once i graduated brought a bucket of sweat on my face. My freshman year to my senior year, choosing a major was always in the back on my mind. Counselors were telling me that it was important to have a major now to be successful once i got into college. I had to do something with my life. I did want to end up working in a minimum wage job. Education is a good investment to anybodie's future, but it is not a walk at the park. Like all things worth obtaining in life, education requires alot of commitment. When I became a senior, it struck me, I only have a couple of moths to choose a major. My stress was at its peak and graduation was right around the corner. As i walked on a hot friday aftertoon, to get my diploma, all i could think of is ,"What major should i pick".
