Jordan's Furniture in Massachusetts Offers Rebates if the Red Sox Win the World Series

Jordan's Furniture is in the process of their biggest project perhaps of all time. Some of you may be aware that Boston has the most loyal baseball fans in the country. Some of you may know that the new American League

Champions are heading to the World Series against the Colorado Rockies. What you may not know is what Jordan's has had planned since the spring. What they offered was this:

Customers who purchased dining room tables, beds, mattresses, and sofas between March 7, 2007 and April 16, 2007 will receive a rebate of the purchase price they paid if the Boston Red Sox win the 2007 Major League Baseball World Series. Our good friends took advantage of this offer so our cheering is first and foremost for the most beloved baseball team in history and also for all the people who I'm convinced will get their purchases for free.

Jordan's Furniture is truly a legend in Massachusetts. Elliot and Barry's grandfather opened the first store in 1918 in Waltham. Well it wasn't exactly a store. Samuel actually worked out of the back of his truck until 1926. A few years later his son and Eliot and Barry's dad, Edward joined the business.

Barry and Eliot's grandfather, Samuel, starts the business. He sells furniture out of the back of a truck until 1926. In the late 1930s, his son Edward (their father) joins the business.

In the 50s and 60s Barry and Eliot worked on weekends and summers and in 1973 the two brothers took over the business. They opened their store in Nashua, New Hampshire in 1983. Jordan's was a hit. Not just because of the great furniture and prices but because these two truly thought outside of the box.

In 1987 they opened their store in Avon, MA with customers waiting in line to get in. In this same store in 1992 these two creative brothers opened the Motion Odyssey Movie (MOM) which has raised more than $300,000 for non-profit organizations. This is a ride in the store. You have to see it to believe it. It didn't end there. In 1998 they opened their largest store in Natick, MA. I remember going and was in awe of the Mardi Gras/Bourbon Street theme complete with music and street performers.

What an advertising concept. I always like to shop family owned stores too bad they sold, but you can't work forever.

Once you sell it, AC owns it so only they can edit it. You can email them and ask them to fix it.
