Are you one of those people that can't wait to get their hands on the newest electronic gadget that is about to hit the shelves? Are you looking for a small, sleek alternative to a laptop that is still packed with features? If so, consider looking into Nokia's N800 Internet Tablet PC.

The N800 from Nokia does not have all the features of a laptop computer, but that is because it is only a fraction of the size. It does have a superb list of features for as small as it is and is gaining popularity in return.

Nokia's N800 could be considered a pocket PC on steroids. It offers a great array of features such as WiFi connectivity for internet browsing and Bluetooth to sync it up with other devices. If the 256 Megabytes of flash memory are not enough for you, you can add to it with SD memory cards for more storage. With the integrated media player, you can play both audio and video with the N800. One of my favorite features of this tablet PC is the ability to use is as a phone with VOIP software, which can be used to make and receive phone calls for free or very low rates.

The Nokia N800 Internet Tablet PC has a great list of features, but how is the appearance and function? The unit's touchscreen has a beautiful and bright 800 by 480 pixel resolution and even has a zoom feature. The layout of buttons is simple, and the unit is very compact. It's only about three inches by five and a half inches and about half an inch thick.

There aren't a whole lot of options when searching for an internet tablet PC of this size and list of features, but there are a couple that you may want to consider. The predecessor of the N800 was the N770, and it is a great alternative if you are on a budget. It is a little slower than the N800 and doesn't have quite all the features of the N800, such as a camera, but I would definitely say it is worth checking out. Another alternative is Apple's iPod Touch. It is more of a media powerhouse with either 8GB or 16 GB of onboard memory, but it doesn't come with chat and VOIP capabilities like the N800. It all comes down to what your personal needs are, but I would pick the N800 as the winner.
