The Animal Lover's Basket
Pet owners are usually renowned for loving their furry friends to pieces. This basket works best for dogs or cats, but can easily be altered for a fish or bird owner. Most dollar stores have a small met selection, so be sure to find it or ask for help from an employee if need be. The basket should include: one stuffed pet toy, two pet treats appropriate for the type of pet, one pet collar that is unique (for example a plaid, sparkly, or plain collar that you can decorate easily), one small bowl on which you can write the pets name in permanent marker (the bowl can either be ceramic or plastic, and either a regular bowl or a holiday bowl. Holiday bowls can be located in around the Christmas stuff they have out, or in the aisle with dishes.) If the pet is a dog you may also want to purchase a Frisbee or some tennis balls. If the pet is a cat you may want to throw a package of feathers into the gift basket so the owners can tempt their pets to play. If the pet is a fish, frog, or lizard then you may be able to find a nifty ceramic or glass figure that they can easily add to their pet's tank for fun.
