Flu Immunization Shot Locations in Chicago

Every year millions of Americans across the nation receive flu shots to protect against influenza. Well, it's that time of year again. Many clinics, hospitals, doctors offices and health departments offer flu shots to their patients and other members of the community. If you are looking for a flu vaccination in the Chicago area, read on to find out where you can receive yours to stay healthy during this flu season.

The Lake County Health Department in northern Chicago is offering flu shots to members of the community on November 16 from 9 am to 11 am. The price is $35.00 fpr adults, $10.00 for children 6 months to 18 years of age. You are asked to call the Health Department's Immunization Program to check the availablity. No appointments will be accepted as this is a walk in flu clinic only. The telephone number is (847) 377-8470.

Local 597 members and their families that reside in the Chicago area can get a free flu shot at the Pipe Fitters' LOcal 597 Training Center on October 27, 2007. The address is 10850 West 187th Street in Mokena, Illinois. The clinic will be opened from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. All flu shots are free of charge and are available to members and their family only.

There will be a number of flu shot clinics provided at local universities in Chicago and the surrounding cities. The following list provides the name of the facility, the date and location.

-October 23 and November 7, James R. Thompson Center located at 100 West Randolph Street in Chicago. The clinic is from 9 am to 3 pm.

-October 25, IDOT-Schaumburg located at 201 West Center in Schaumburg. The clinic will be held in training room A. The clinic will be held from 9 am until 3 pm.

-October 30, Healthcare and Family Services located at 401 South Clinton in Chicago. The clinic will be held in the Clinton Building on the 1st floor and will be available from 9 am until 3 pm.

-November 1, Central Management Services located at 9511 Harrison in Des Plaines. The clinic will be held in the Suburban North in Room 110 from 9 am until 3 pm.

-November 6, Illinois Assistance Commission located at 1755 Lake Cook Road in Deerfield. The clinic is from 9 am to 1 pm.
