Some families may go to different houses each year for Thanksgiving, but not my family. Every since I can remember, our Thanksgiving has been the same. It has always been at my Papa's house.

I really can't imagine my holiday being any different. It seems like it has always been done the same way in our family. My Papa cooks the turkey. He makes the best gravy that I have ever tasted. I really don't know how he does it. My dad and him can cook really well so maybe that explains it. Although, they could have learned it from their mothers I'm not really sure.

My dad fixes most of the other food. He also fixes the desert. He usually fixes mashed potatoes, rolls, and an amazing ham. For desert he fixes amazing cheesecake and the best pumpkin pie in the world. When I was smaller, my brother, my sister, and I used to love helping him fix all the pies the night before. We don't do that much since we are older, but it used to be so much fun. His girlfriend also makes a couple deserts to. She fixes an Oreo pie and a pecan pie. I don't really like either one of those though.

My aunt and her boyfriend also come tho the house for Thanksgiving. She usually brings deviled eggs and fruit salad. Although, just her being there is enough for everyone usually. She is really smart and a great person to talk to. Her boyfriend is also really nice. He is hilarious as well and usually cracks everyone up. It's really great having them there.

We always eat upstairs in the dining room. There is a huge table in there big enough for all of us. My job is to set the table. On special occasions like Thanksgiving my Papa uses the nice silverware and plates. My sister also helps me with the table placements. I haven't moved from home yet and I can't really cook well, so that is pretty much all I do.

In all my family fixes a turkey, a pineapple ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, deviled eggs, stuffing, and an array of deserts. To me, this is a traditional Thanksgiving Diner. What else could you ask for really? The family who sits around the table are my dad, his girlfriend, her two kids, my sister, my brother, my papa, my aunt, her boyfriend, my boyfriend, my two kids, and me.
