The Biggest Loser: October, 2007 Episode Review:

I can't believe it. I just finished watching The Biggest Loser, and someone actually gained 17 pounds for strategy to keep his blue team in the game. They broke up the 3 teams this week and made teams of 3 people. I thought that these people really wanted to lose the weight. Why in the world would you set yourself up for failure?

The worst part of the whole thing is that the idiots on the show didn't vote him out. I think they should have. The shows producers should have even stepped in to stop this craziness. Deception should not be rewarded. I like watching this show and root for the people to lose weight. I think the show should take the people voted off and instead of sending them back home bring them to another camp to train with Jillian. The money equation would be out of it and they could still lose weight. People cry and say they want to lose weight but it seems to come down to almighty dollar. That should be a perk. The real prize is the weight loss. Having always been skinny until my mid 30's (now heavy) I would just want the weight to go. I wonder how many people would go on the show or try as hard if there were no money prize.

I also just read in some magazine how they followed up with many of the past contestants and most of them gained back a lot of weight. So did they really make life changes? I know it is so hard to change your lifestyle. I have started a diet and its not working well. I even gave up Pepsi (my favorite thing) and lost no weight, how can that be. I drank at least 6 to 7 cans a day at 150 calories each. I have been off it now for a month but for what, it hasn't changed my weight and I enjoy drinking it.

I wish I had the personal trainer Bob at my house for 1 month. I like his style of training he pushes the contestants but is caring and sweet. My sister on the other hand would want Jillian the tough one. I would like to have her shape but I don't respond well to constant pushing. With all this said I think I'll go in the refrigerator and get a Pepsi and be a couch potato.
