As the California wildfires continue to rage, residents are scouring the Web for information. Here are some resources to help you know what you should do if you or someone you love lives or works in the areas of the fires.

Residents are being cautioned not to hesitate if they fear they are in danger of the fire or smoke. Do not wait for someone to knock on your door and tell you to evacuate. Leave immediately if you see the fire approaching your home.

ABC News and ABC.com is offering continuing coverage on the fires throughout Southern California and regular updates on closures and evacuations can be found here.

For articles, up to date headlines and more information regarding the status of the fires and people who live in the area can be found here.

At the request of the North County Fire Department the public is requested to direct all non-emergency fire phone calls to the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce: (760) 728-5445

For additional fire information, residents may also call the City of San Diego Community Access Phone at (619) 570-1070.

This same CBS news page has information on shelters that still have vacancies, vacant animal shelters, how to evacuate large animals that you cannot remove yourself, school closures and other important information for victims of the area fires.
