Social networking is becoming more and more popular in Cyberspace, and MySpace, the most popular social networking site founded in August of 2003, has partnered with Oberon Media to offer its members gaming entertainment. Currently MySpace offers a variety of videos ranging from weird videos, animals, news and more for entertainment. In addition to their selection of videos for current entertainment, they offer music from well-known musicians as well as aspiring musicians. Now, in addition to their videos and music channels, MySpace will offer fun and interaction with new gaming entertainment, which will also be free to MySpace members.

Sometime in early 2008, MySpace users can expect to see a new gaming entertainment channel added to MySpace. MySpace's goal is to offer their users fun and more social interaction as they allow them to choose from award-winning multi-player games, which users will be allowed to add to their MySpace profiles. Once the user has added the multi-player games to their profile, they can invite their MySpace friends to interact with them in the game, and a chat window will be implemented into the games so that MySpace users can chat with their friends as they play. For those of you using MySpace to promote your products and/or services, this will be a wonderful way to get to know your potential customers/clients better.

I have yet to see an announcement or release specifying which games MySpace will make available to its users, but some of the multi-player games available from Oberon Media include Texas Hold 'em, Chess, Darts, Checkers, Pool and more. Whether any of those games will be among the choices is unknown at this time, but it should give MySpace users an idea of what to expect.
