Companies like Tesco Travel's Insurance provide you with financial protection when you are traveling from medical expenses, legal fees, cancellations and loss of personal items or even your passport. For a relatively small amount of money compared to the total expensive of your vacation, travel insurance can give you peace of mind while you are away from home.

Tesco has several options to fit your travel insurance needs. They offer coverage for either 3, 8 or 15 day vacations, or you can choice to buy an annual policy for either Europe or Worldwide. You can insure 2 adults and up to 4 children on an eight day Worldwide vacation for only £65.00, or for only £24.50 more you can make it an annual policy that will cover you on all your vacations throughout the year. The policy benefits for medical expense limit and personal liability are £2,000,000. Delayed departure, cancellation and curtailment benefits are £2,500. This policy will also pay you a benefit of £200.00 pounds if you lose your passport.

Adding winter sports cover to your policy will cost you additional £43.00 for an eight day policy and £21.00 for an annual policy. This will cover Skiing, snowboarding and ice skating. It pays up to £500.00 to replace (£300.00 for equipment rental) for equipment that it is damaged, lost or stolen while on your vacation as long as it isn't older than 5 years. You will receive £250.00 if your ski passes and tuition fees if you can't use them do to illness, resort closure or they are lost or stolen.

There are other companies that provided travel insurance, Worldwide Travel Insurance and Insure and Go both offer different levels of cover for their policies, where as Tesco only has one benefit level available.
