The Backstreet Boys is one of the most popular bands on the face of the planet. Starting in the mid 90s, the team has evolved from young kids to a powerful force in music. Managing to stay in the limelight, despite the shift of current mainstream, the boy band attempted a "comeback" album Never Gone in 2005. Spawning a few recognizable songs, the album didn't sell as well as hoped and none of the songs made it to No. 1 around the globe. Shortly after, a member of the band went his way to live life, putting the boys at a halt recording the next record.

The remaining four boys stayed together and record an album that will be released on October 30th, called Unbreakable. A few songs have leaked over the internet in recent weeks, including a cover of Bastiaan Ragas' song "Helpless When She Smiles." It was rumoured to be the first single, but had since been pulled and replaced with "Inconsolable" as the first choice. "Inconsolable" is a power ballad written by Emanuel Kiriakou who also wrote Nick Lachey's only hit from his recent album "What's Left Of Me."

Unbreakable starts with a short intro of the boys harmonizing, lead by A.J. McLean. The intro is a prelude to the album, in which ends with "Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon," the last line of the intro. "Everything But Mine" follows, playing along a synth pop sound with a haunting vocal melody. Changing pace, "Inconsolable" is the next track, similiar to Never Gone's first release "Incomplete." The boys perfectly blend in the chorus, explaining that the relationship isn't easily let go.

This time, the boys have strengthened and matured their songs. "Something That I Already Know" is a mid-tempo tune that plays off as a follow-up to "Inconsolable," finally moving on from the bad relationship. Melodically it also resembles the latter.

I feel that Backstreet Boys have really come up with something good.Truly speaking I was looking forward to something very very special from the "Boys" and i must say that they haven't disappointed me.This album has everything that the "Boys" are famous for,and still there are songs like "Unmistakable" that show that these guys are capable of delivering a world-class song. Great work Guys, Keep it up!!

Amazing album...so glad i bought it..great harmonies..clever lyrics..good music...what more could you want...its so good to have these boys back and to have some proper music back out there in the world instead of some of the stupidness we hear today...great album from a phenomenal group...definately an A!!=]

i like the album! there are good songs on there. i've read other reviews saying that it's the same as always but i bet they've never heard the orginal bsb cd from way back to see how much they have grown.anyone remember "just to be close to you/roll with it"? it does sound a lot like never gone, though (which wasn't such a chart topper..)still the fans will like it, but i doubt they will get many new bsb converts.

Of course the album has leaked on the net.. and I've heard a bit of it...and so far all I've heard is genuinely great music. The never disappoint, they've gotten better and better over the years. Anyone who doesnt like it, just isnt really giving it a chance. And the same goes for NEVER GONE, it may not have sold very many records ((in BsB status))... but its one of their best albums as well! I'd say, if you love good POP music, FLAWLESS HARMONIES and let's face it, HOT GUYS, then you need to pick up BOTH of the albums. Your music collection isnt complete without UNBREAKABLE as well as NEVER GONE!

I have heard the album and the only two good songs are, incobsalbe and the awesome unmistakable track 13. Sorry but thats all that is worth the listen, this album is shocking and in no better than incomplete album. i am shocked at tracks 4 to 7 there cheap demos and the beats and sound are very bad and wont hit the market well. Track 13 has to be a single!
