It doesn't matter which team you are rooting for. You should hope a player from either team accomplishes this feat! The first player to steal a base will make it possible for millions to steal one free taco. "Steal A Base, Steal A Taco" is the latest promotion by Taco Bell. Everyone is familiar with their "Think Outside the Bun" commercials. This promotion is a way to get the whole United States involved with the World Series.
Lou Brock, the Major League Baseball Hall of Famer is serving as the spokesperson for "Steal A Base, Steal A Taco". He has a record of stealing 14 bases in the World Series, including an individual series record 7 during the 1967 Major League Baseball World Series. This campaign will also donate $20,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, in the name of the first player to steal a base in the 2007 Major League Baseball Series.
This is how the program works:
If the 1st stolen base happens during Game 1 or Game 2:
America can pick up their one free Crunchy Beef Taco on Tuesday, October 30th from 2:00pm to 5:00 pm (local time) at all participating Taco Bell locations in one of the 50 states in the United States or District of Columbia.
If the 1st base is stolen in Game 3 through Game 7:
America can pick up their one free Crunchy Beef Taco on Tuesday, November 6thfrom 2:00pm to 5:00pm (local time) at all participating Taco Bell locations
in one of the fifty states in the United States or District of Columbia.
