Epcot is one of four major theme parks in Walt Disney World. Epcot is based around science and technology as well as boasting a World Showcase. Epcot is the largest of the four parks in the Walt Disney World complex, so be sure to allow plenty of time. It is almost impossible to see it all in one day.

Walt Disney World’s Epcot is broken into two sections; Future World and World Showcase. When you first enter Epcot you can’t help but notice the giant sphere that greets you. It has been referred to as a giant golf ball, but it represents Earth. Inside of this massive structure is a ride called Spaceship Earth. It is a mild ride for all ages that talks about the ages of communication. It is a great first stop during your trip to the park.

Future World sits in the front section of Epcot, while World Showcase can be found in the section further back. You can not mention Future World without mentioning their three newer attractions which draw massive crowds. Test Track, Mission Space and Soarin’ are incredible attractions that Epcot boasts on its property. Test Track is a ride where you climb into a test car and go through different ways of testing a car whether it is at high speeds, fast breaking or different forces of nature! Mission Space is such an intense ride that they have made a milder version you can opt for. Soarin’ lets you experience gliding over California’s landscapes and lets you experience the feel of wind in your face, as if you were hang gliding along with the different scents you might experience.

Other sections of Future World offer fun and educational looks at energy, science and the body. Each ride or show is entertaining for all ages. Walt Disney World puts a great emphasis on families being able to play and learn together.

Mission Space has two sides you can go on, one full throttle, and one less intense. Soarin was really a great experience. A fun, family favorite for all ages. I've been on it multiple times now, and it's just lovely, as well as fun.

Ah, I love EPCOT :) I haven't been back since the Land went under construction and I would really like to see Soarin'. Last time, I was too afraid to go on Mission: Space, but I'm glad that they toned down the ride. Good article :)
