Boomerang Boyfriends and How to Cope

Coping with a boomerang boyfriend can be tricky. You have been there before if you have been in the dating scene at all. You meet this great guy. He makes you feel wonderful. Suddenly, and without warning, he disappears. What happened to the guy? You may wonder if he is dead or moved? No, you realize inside that it has happened to you. You fell prey to a man that was already dating another girl. Chances are they fought, and you were the one to make him feel just strong enough to go running home to his girlfriend, or worse, his wife.

Then, several weeks later your phone rings. It is the disappearing act guy. He makes up an excuse for what happened and showers affection on you. Now don't be stupid. If he was gone you know men enough to know that he wasn't alone. If you find yourself in this situation at this point ask him if he is single. He may lie or confess. Either way, you can get a feeling for what is really going on. Trust your gut. It's always right.

Now that you have confronted him a bit, move to the next level. Ask him if he wants to go have some fun. Then, ask him where he usually goes to hang out. Tell him that you would love to meet there some time. Flatter him up like there is no tomorrow. You know, just like he did to you. Make plans with him to meet there next week. Then call up a few friends. Make plans to go out at that exact same time and day. Then sit back and wait.

When the day arrives go out with your friends as planned. When he calls, and he will call this time; listen to him ask what is going on. Consider to yourself what he is feeling this time. Do you think he is happy now? Then, when he is done speaking say that you must have forgotten. Hey, at least you answered your phone. Boomerang boyfriend guy didn't even bother to call you.
At this point he will either hang up or he will want to argue. Don't give him the satisfaction. Say you have to go and hang up the phone.
