The Best WWE Hell in a Cell Matches
The steel cage match has been around World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for decades and never fails to impress and entertain wrestling fans, but WWE took it one step further by extending the sides and adding a roof to the cage. The conception is known as the "Hell
in a Cell" match. Let's take a look at some of the best "Hell in a Cell" matches.
Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker: The first in any kind of match is always a memorable one and the first Hell in a Cell match will always stand out. It was a brutal bloody battle between Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker that brought each combatant all over the ring and even to the top of the cell where Shawn Michaels got knocked down and through the announcer's table below. This match also marked the debut of Kane, who helped Shawn Michaels get the victory.
Armageddon Hell In A Cell: The majority of Hell In A Cell matches have been one-on-one, but the WWE pulled out all of the stops with a six man cell battle. The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Undertaker, Rikishi, Triple H, and defending world champion Kurt Angle all waged war inside of the cell. Rikishi got choke slammed off the top of the cell and into the back of a truck, Triple H went through the truck's windshield, and in the end Kurt Angle retained his championship in the brutal battle.
Batista vs. Triple H: When the stable Evolution split up, members Batista and Triple H began a heated rivalry that culminated in a Hell In A Cell match at the 2005 Vengeance pay per view. Using sledgehammers, steel steps, and a barbed wire steel chair they both became bloody, but Batista come out on top in an excellent match.
Triple H vs. Cactus Jack: Triple H has been in a lot of Hell In A Cell matches and his bout with Cactus Jack is one of the best. He put him through the top of the cell and broke through the ring. A pedigree in thumbtacks and other bloody carnage got Triple H the victory in a classic.
