For anyone who watches the tube or has internet access, it's not that hard to come up with creative ideas for a Halloween costume that won't be seen on every street corner. You shouldn't have to spend a lot and you can express yourself and entertain or possibly win a contest in the process. Here are a few ideas for celebrity Halloween costumes:

Part of the appeal of this sort of thing is being topical and in the moment. The Lisa Nowak story has been in the news a lot this year and will continue to be with the trial yet to come. How about an astronaut outfit complete with a fake mallet, pepper spray and the like. To top it off, you could put your goodies in a diaper bag! If you're daring enough you could even wear the diaper on the outside. If you live in Orlando, FL, this outfit could have the added benefit of getting you out of jury duty. It's hard to imagine that the defense wouldn't strike you from the panel. Their case is desperate enough to try the old "temporary insanity" defense due to Asperger's Syndrome. Please! If Ms. Nowak could make it through the rigorous astronaut training it's unbelievable that she couldn't function in society, but it does add to the appeal of the costume.

Another idea for a celebrity Halloween costume is a Britney Spears outfit for females who could pull that off. Going barefoot and wearing one of those construction type hats with a beer can holder on each side with a tube should do the trick. And leave the kids with their dad.

An idea for a Keith Richards Halloween costume would include a few wrinkles, obviously. Since Keith said in an interview earlier this year that he once snorted his Father's ashes, the costume would need to include an urn with "World's Greatest Dad" or some such message on it.
