Jodi Picoult, Chris Gardner, Sandra Brown, Jeanette Walls to Participate in "A Celebration of Reading" in Dallas, Texas

Jodi Picoult, Chris Gardner, Sandra Brown, and Jeanette Walls will all make an appearance at this year's Dallas"A Celebration of Reading," scheduled to take place on November 12.

Barbara and George Bush will host "A Celebration of Reading" in Dallas this November in order to raise money for the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy and Barbara Bush Texas Fund for Family Literacy. What is different about "A Celebration of Reading" in relation to other charity events is that 100% of the proceeds from the event go directly to these literary funds.

The Barbara Bush Foundation supports family literacy programs throughout the nation, where children and parents learn to read together. The Foundation has awarded over $30 million to 650 family literacy programs throughout the nation, in 48 states, including the District of Columbia.

An author's reception kicks off the evening where authors, George and Barbara Bush, and guests can mingle with one another and have photos taken. Authors will also read from their best selling books. After the reading, guests will eat a light dinner and have the opportunity to mingle amongst the authors and George and Barbara Bush once again.

Authors who have participated in the program in the past include: John Grisham, Chuck Norris, James McBride, Elizabeth Ironside, Christopher Buckley, Marc Brown, and many more.

This year Jodi Picoult, Sandra Brown, Chris Gardner, and Jeanette Walls will be present at "A Celebration of Reading" in Dallas Texas.
