The Motorola H700 is 30% smaller than the previous model HS850, making it one of the most compact Bluetooth headsets on the market. I really like the way it looks. The black and silver color scheme is sleek and classy. Some retailers offer other color selections such as cosmic blue, plum, and fire red.
I appreciate that Motorola included the status LED light on the multifunction button which glows blue when the headset is turned on (just like many of Motorola's cell phones). The rubberized ear hook is adjustable, very comfortable, and easy to wear. The charger port, which is located on top of the headset, will accept any standard Motorola charger.
The headset connected quickly and easily to my son's Motorola Slvr L7. The sound quality was excellent even in a noisy room. The volume buttons are on the side and I found them to be easy to use. They are a bit small, but I didn't have a problem with them.
The Motorola H700 typically sells for around $80, but I found several deals online. Tiger Direct has it available for $64.99 and USB Phone World has it for an incredible $49.99 with an additional $10 instant rebate making the final price $39.99. I also found it being offered on Ebay for $32.99 if you choose the "Buy it Now" option. Because of the cheap price of the Motorola H700, I would not recommend buying insurance for this headset.
Compared with two other popular Bluetooth headsets, the Jabra 8910 and the Plantronics Voyager 855, the Motorola H700 wins hands down in the category of price. The Jabra 8910 runs around $170 and the Plantronics Voyager goes for around $90.
