Single
One of the first types of compound hunting bows is the single design. They have an idler wheel and an elliptical wheel that is responsible for power. These bows are usually easier to operate than most other types. They will also generate less noise whenever you shoot an arrow. However, these compound hunting bows can be more difficult to tune than other designs. They may also have trouble providing even nocking.
Hybrid
One of the next types of compound hunting bows is the hybrid variety. These bows use two elliptical cams instead of just one. The power cam is located on the bottom of the bow, while the control wheel is located on top. These compound hunting bows were designed to deal with the problem of uneven nocking experienced by single designs. This makes them easier to aim and far more accurate. They also require less maintenance and are easier to tune.
Twin
There are also twin designs that use twin cams on the top and bottom of the bow. These compound hunting bows have the advantage of being one of the most accurate designs. They will also provide level nocking and superior speed than other types. However, these compound hunting bows have complex designs. Therefore, they need to be maintained and tuned frequently. They also require more skill to shoot accurately.
Binary
One of the final types of compound hunting bows is the binary design. Binary designs are the newest type of compound bow to hit the market. These compound hunting bows are similar to the twin design in that they have two cams at each end of the bow. The main difference between these two types is that the two cams are attached to each other instead of the limb of the bow. These compound hunting bows will provide faster shots than many other designs. They will also provide level nocking on a consistent basis.
