Mystical spirituality pervades the mysterious party town. The Big Easy is considered a haunted city, with wandering spirits moving through the city. There are many tales of haunting in New Orleans. The 1891 Castle Inn is just one of the places where ghost hunters may locate spirits.

The 1891 Castle Inn of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the Garden District is considered a haunted bed and breakfast. The Gilded Age mansion enjoys a location near the Mardi Gras Route and the famous Streetcar. The streetcar offers transportation to some of New Orleans most famous attractions, such as the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.

There have been two ghosts reported at the Castle Inn. The owners report objects that move by themselves, lights and appliances that turn themselves on and off. mysterious sounds, footsteps, water faucets that turn off and on and glimpses of a "translucent man

One ghost was a servant of the inn,a horse carriage driver. The man, who lived over 100 years ago, was a charming person who loved to pull pranks. who killed himself accidentally when he started a fire in his room. The driver was drunk and didn't wake up.

According to the website claim that he is responsible for objects that move by themselves, footsteps and water faucets that turn on and off. The carriage driver appears as a translucent man who stands in corners and on the front porch.

The second ghost is a little girl who is barefoot. She drowned in a nearby pool over 100 years ago. When she drowned she was barefoot and wearing a white dress. Sadly, the little girl wanders the neighborhood looking for her mother.

The website states that the owners have heard dozens of vivid stories of the ghosts at the inn. Guests of the inn have a chance to be regaled by some of these ghostly legends.
