There is absolutely nothing more girly than an all pink Christmas tree. (I did it in my own apartment three years ago. J'adore!) These easy and fun pink damask snowflakes are easy to make and add a darling touch to an all feminine holiday style. Make just one for a hodgepodge effect, or a bunch to serve as a theme.

For this project, you will need:

- Wooden star snowflake ornament base (found online at Cabin Crafters)

- Mod Podge or other decoupage medium

- Hot pink satin ribbon

- Anna Griffin Pink Painted Damask scrapbook paper (in stores or online at Paper Addict)

- Hot pink acrylic paint pen

- Black acrylic paint pen

- Artist's paintbrush

- Scissors

- Craft knife

- Pencil

- Popsicle stick

- Acrylic finishing spray

- Newspaper

Coat your workspace fully with newspaper to prevent paint drips and damage. With a pencil, trace the outline of the wooden star snowflake ornament base onto the Anna Griffin Pink Painted Damask scrapbook paper. Make sure to trace the diamond detail of the snowflake as well.

With scissors, cut the outline of the snowflake out. Using the craft knife cut out the interior diamond design so that the paper fits exactly over the ornament base. Apply a generous amount of Mod Podge or other decoupage medium directly onto the wooden snowflake. Lay the Anna Griffin Pink Painted Damask scrapbook paper over the glue. Smooth out any bubbles using your fingers or a popsicle stick, starting in the middle and working towards the edges. Add an additional layer of decoupage medium over the top of the print paper.

Once the Mod Podge has dried, apply words or phrases to the center of the snowflake with hot pink and black acrylic paint pens. Some ideas to add to the retro theme include: diva, babe, doll, goddess, rockstar, la femme, elle, princess, etc. Or stick to a holiday theme by adding holiday words and phrases: happy holidays, let it snow, santa baby, merry Christmas, etc. For a customized look, even consider adding a first name. Be creative! Paint the back of the ornament completely with hot pink or black acrylic paint and allow it to dry.
