From his first celluloid appearance in the inspirational and heartwarming movie, "Rudy," Vince Vaughn has captivated movie goers world wide with his dry wit and dark good looks. A self proclaimed member of the "Frat Pack," with fellow multi million dollar actors, Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn has come a long way in his career. Read this informative piece on the charming and ultra successful actor, Vince Vaughn.

Family Life Of Vince Vaughn. Vince Vaughn was born on March 28, 1970 in the very cold state of Minnesota. His parents are Vernon Vaughn and Sharon DePalmo. Sharon liked the double "V" sound so much she named her two daughters Valerie and Victoria. The family pet names also had names that started with the letter "V." The Vaughn family had so many pets when Vince, Valerie and Victoria were growing up that Sharon resorted to looking in the dictionary to find first names for the pets that began with "V." Vince Vaughn's parents divorced in 1991.

Religious Background Of Vince Vaughn. Vernon Vaughn was Protestant and Vince's mother Sharon was Catholic. Vince Vaughn was raised in the Roman Catholic Church. Vince is close mouthed on the subject of organized religion so it is unknown whether he is still a practicing Catholic.

Early Years Of Vince Vaughn. Vince Vaughn was raised in two different towns in the Midwest state of Illinois, Buffalo Grove and Lake Forest. Vince had a keen interest in the sport of water polo and considered pursuing it as a professional career until he was involved in a car accident in 1987. Though his injuries were not life threatening, they derailed his chances of professional water polo. It was then that Vince Vaughn turned to acting. Water polo's loss was definitely movie lovers' gain! Vince Vaughn struggled with the common issue of bed wetting when he was a child. He has freely discussed this in interviews and counts the time of his life that he overcame this issue as one of great pride and an overwhelming sense of achievement.

He did a respectable job as Norman Bates in the remake of Psycho in 1998 too. His campy portrayal was the highlight of the film :)

Vince Vaughn is so funny. And even though he's no Brad Pitt, he's adorable. I believe it's his smile, blue eyes, and personality that do the trick. Interesting facts- thanks!

I'm pretty sure he is following me. Not only was he at a birthday party for a friend of mine in LA but I also saw him getting ready for a run in Manhattan Beach, CA not too long ago. Naturally, I just went up to him and said - "Vince! Slap hands!" and he gave me a high five. Some other people might have been content to bug him, but that ain't how I roll. Great facts.

Enjoyable read. I guess that the double V is kind of catchy. I went with all J's, and half of the time I call the wrong person by the wrong name because of so many same first name initials.

I happened upon the movie Clay Pigeons (a very dark comedy) after it was released to video and have been a Vince Vaughn fan ever since.
