It's so simple to start the week off with a clean car, and several days later look around your driving space and wonder how this disaster appeared. It's an acquired skill to learn to keep things clean, and make your life more organized. Having an organized automobile makes your life less stressful, and more carefree. Here are some steps that you can take to achieve the cleanest driving space possible.

Figure out your personal needs

First things first, open up your trunk and all of your car doors. Pop open that center console, glove box, and even take everything out of side pockets and seat backs. Take an objective look at what you really have, and why you really have it in your car. Is a lot of it just trash? Is a lot of it job related paperwork? Is a lot of it the kid's school things, or baby objects? Are you involved in sports, or are your children in sports? Figure out what needs to be thrown away and what the basics are; these things are the only things that truly need to be kept in your car. Take literally everything out of your car and trunk and take it indoors.

Purchase Organizers

Get creative in your thinking when it comes to containers. If you have a great deal of paperwork from the office in your vehicle perhaps its best that you buy a small plastic container that holds hanging files for you to slide your papers into and thusly keep them off of the floors, seats and everywhere in between. If your child has lots of soccer related items in your vehicle then buy a large drawstring mesh bag and keep everything in bag. I personally am a college student and have a lot of text books to keep with me, so I purchased rectangular wicker baskets. These baskets are handy for many things other than books, but are great for school items because they go into the basket and keep from sliding everywhere. Baskets are a great idea for your children as well, have one basket for each child labeled with their name so they too can drop their folder in the same spot each day and keep everything from ending up with it strewn everywhere. Dollar stores a great places to find organizers for your car while keeping your goal reasonably priced.
