Do you find yourself skipping breakfast more and more often, simply because you think you don't have time to prepare it? The truth is, you can prepare a breakfast that is both quick and healthy. No longer do you have to turn to your local fast food restaurants to get a quick breakfast. Here are just a few quick and healthy breakfast options.

Quick and Healthy Breakfast Options: Fruit, Yogurt, and Granola

If you want a breakfast that is quick and healthy, this is the perfect option. With this meal, you'll get calcium, protein, fiber, and vitamins. If you want things to be really quick, grab a bag of sliced apples at the grocery store, cups of fat free vanilla yogurt, and some healthy granola bars. Take these items to work along with a bowl and spoon. Crush the granola bars or use them for dipping.

Quick and Healthy Breakfast Options: Microwavable Sandwiches

At one point, microwavable sandwiches were quick, but far from healthy. Now, you can actually buy microwavable sandwiches that are quick as well as healthy. For example, Jimmy Dean D-Lights are made with egg whites, wheat muffins, and low fat meat.

Quick and Healthy Breakfast Options: Smoothies

Smoothies are quick and as healthy as you want to make them. You can add fresh or frozen fruit, fat free vanilla yogurt, a splash of juice, and some ice to make a tasty combination. But, you can also add powdered supplements to make your smoothie even healthier.

Quick and Healthy Breakfast Options: Fruit Salad

Fruit salad is a great option because you can make it the night before and then just grab it on your way out the door. This is also a breakfast that can be made year round. Just choose fruits that are in season and combine them with a little Splenda.

Quick and Healthy Breakfast Options: Microwavable Omelets

Microwavable omelets are another breakfast option that is quick and healthy. You can find them in your freezer section or you can even make omelets and boil them while you get ready for work. You can find some great recipes online.

I make a phenomenal breakfast sandwich. Try partially beating an egg in a butter bowl type dish and microwaving it for one minute to make a patty, slap on a piece of ham and cheese, back in the microwave for 15 seconds to warm both, then slap it on toast with sal and pepper. Total cook time about 1:30. I LOVED all your ideas except that bacon takes at least 8 minutes in the microwave for me :-/
