The Salt -n- Pepa Show

Episode Three

On the previous episodes, Pepa was hands down my favorite. I thought Salt was stuck up, hyper sensitive, and prone to overacting. I've been proven wrong. Salt took a baby step, and Pep is trying to push that for all it's worth. Now, her future finances hinge on Salt agreeing, under friendly duress, to participate in some entertainment venture.

Pepa is truly off the chain! She decided to buy a ritzy apartment. In NY, you know that lavish apartment cost an arm and a leg. Now get this, she bought it based off of an idea in her head. The concept, that she and Salt are reuniting as Salt n Pepa. If you saw the first episode, Salt begrudgingly agreed to perform at Shaquille O'Neal's birthday party. (With much changes in content to the original lyrics). So if you're keeping score, they've only performed, to date, at Salt's Church. Yet, Pepa, makes an illogical leap and develops delusions of grandeur.

"The Odd Couple" title doesn't do them justice. Salt lives a quiet, perfect, life in an upper class superb with perfectly, manicured, lawns. She goes jogging, regularly, with her sister. She has her gym equipment in her house, making physical fitness easily accessible. All this is interrupted when the storm cloud Pepa enters. Pepa, has a designer doing major work on her new apartment. Pepa, for some reason not mentioned in detail, needs somewhere to stay. (Pep is wealthy enough for the trendy apartment, but not liquid enough to afford a temporary place to stay.) The impulsive Pepa becomes the burden of salt. Pep and her daughter show up with a massive load of belongings. Including, a portrait of Pepa, sans clothes. Nipples available for all to see.

First night in the house, and Pepa cranks it up. She's in the kitchen, with Salt's husband and his two friends, playing dominoes. Gambling. Drinking. All things that Salt doesn't like. In the wee hours of the morning, and the ring leader is Pepa. She's hanging with the boys, while Salt is upstairs trying to sleep.
