"One Tree Hill," targeted at high school teens, has become one of the most talked about shows on the CW. The show contains humorous as well as moral issues teens deal with on a daily basis. There is much that can be learned from this show, of course, this is not an entirely serious tone.

High School Marriage can be Quite Rocky and Unstable

Nathan and Haley, otherwise known as Naley, the only teenage married couple in Tree Hill, have their bouts of ups and downs. Haley left to seek fortune and fame, or rather, Chris Keller. After she sorts through her mixed emotions for Chris as well as her dream of stardom, she decides to return to Nathan. To her surprise, but not ours, he is resentful and unwilling to jump back in with both feet. He rebels by going to a basketball camp, and as their relationship continues; one obstacle after another follows.

Fake IDs Are Easy to Come By

It seems that the main characters in Tree Hill, although in high school, has been spotted drinking in a bar or club. There is even a scene where Brooke makes fake ids to raise money as a gift for Nathan and Haley's wedding.

Friends with Benefits is Really Just a Figment of the Imagination

There are way too many emotions involved in intimacy to not become more than "just friends." Brooke and Felix discover this all too fast in their failed attempt at friends with benefits.

Emo-Punk-Goth Music is the Cure-All in Any Situation

Peyton's influence has every show title named after a band's song. She discovers new music every time she's depressed and locked in her room with her web cam, which is quite often. Her influence has affected all of Tree Hill with the opening of Tric; an all-ages live music club, and seems to unite all of the high school kids.

Basketball Is More Important Than Life Itself

How many times have Nathan and Lucas put their lives on the line in order to play the game they love? Too many times to count, if you ask me. Nathan overdoses on drugs and Lucas continues playing despite his heart condition; these two have proven that basketball is bigger than life.
