It has been proved that the product known as Vicks VapoRub is extremely effective for children in regards to coughs and colds but it is also effective for adults as well. It is awfully easy to apply, all you have to do is place a small bit of the ointment on the affected area such as the back, chest 
or even throat and it will immediately start to work. Right after you have applied it, you will start to feel a cooling sensation and the VapoRub has already begun its job. You will notice that your cough and cold will slowly start to diminish after you have begin using the this product.
It is good to apply the ointment at night right before bedtime.
