Has the Age of Aquarius Arrived Yet?

There's a certain something that can be gained from helping another human being. I say human being rather than person because people don't listen. But human beings feel. We each live in this world. We set goals, struggle, achieve and learn lessons the hard and easy ways. That's life.

It is amazing to me that there is still a struggle for equal rights. Specially, in this day and age. We are in the Age of Aquarius according to some (2000AD). Others would say the Age is still coming: arrival dated 2070 AD or late arrival dated 2600AD. That's a big jump. So the question becomes are we in the time leading up to or are we there yet? Peace protests, civil rights protests, immigration protests...this speaks of world citizens that are unhappy with their current conditions. And with good reasons: war, poverty, hunger, rape, murder, disease, natural disasters, man-made disasters, and let's not forget terrorism of and by individuals, cartels, and governments.

It's no wonder people are finding faith a needed thing. The beliefs differ, but no one sees that the similarity lies in the simple fact that there are beliefs. The New Age has brought about an individual's ability to seek out religious beliefs that best suit the individual. There are more ways to believe and more ways to express one's self. These ideas could lead one to think that the Age of Aquarius has begun. But perhaps the raise in faith comes from the raise in negative aspects clouding the world. Faith, a positive answer to the negativity abundant in the catastrophes plaguing modern existence?

Good read although I am not a fan of the New Age movement. I agree that we have rights but that doesn't defer from the spiritual warfare and confusion that we face. Peace is what we have and always will seek. Good read :)

To rebel against restrictions is a natural human tendency; with the USA making more and more laws restricting personal freedoms, the more people are going to fight. Justice Lives Not is a Christian. Yet Jesus instructs that if someone wants to rob your garment give them thy cloak as well. (I do not know the exact quote)He did not call the wanna be robber "scum" nor advocate violence to prevent the robbery. I do not have any answers, except to educate children and hope for a better future.

I don't know what the Age of Aquarius is. Reminds me of the song "...this is the dawning of the age of Aquarius", 1960 something. "100 Million Kids Went To School Today and Did Not Kill Anyone" is not news. (I do not know how many students we have in the USA) But that even one such incident happens is bad news. What I think is "children learn what they live". They see adults solving problems with war; killing must be the way to deal with our enemies.

Love your enemy; give them enough rope to hang themselves. But if it comes down to you or them, take the bastards OUT!!!

I have to agree don't get killed giving over your stuff...protect what's yours...you have to protect yourself.

I am with you. However, when it comes to defense of self, home, and property, unfortunately, violence is the only language that scum understands.
