Levi's 501, the old standard, is still a part of the current standard. Among brands like Polo, Dior, Kicking Mule, Cheap Monday and others Levi's 501 rank third in a GQ magazine online poll. The poll was taken by men and based design, durability, and detail.

Consumers also love the Levi's 501 fit. It is a standard, straight leg jean. These jeans don't come torn or designed to sag in the rear. They are a nice fitting jean that has withstood the test of time. The only change that has occurred in the Levi's 501 over time has been a slightly expanded waistline to accommodate America's expanding size.

Levi's 501 fit a man's tush just right, often calling for a second glance. They are great to wear with casual clothes, like t-shirts, sweatshirts, or even flannels. You can also dress up Levi's 501 jeans. Men who wear them with a nice sweater, a trendy pair of shoes, and sexy cologne stand a good chance of increasing their popularity when they're out on the town. Country boys aren't left out by Levi's 501 jeans. A pair of straight leg 501's, a nice pair of cowboy boots and a button up shirt will make you stand out on the dance floor.

Levi's 501 are all around comfortable, durable, normal jeans. Such jeans aren't always easy to find these days. Emo jeans look like girl jeans. The flair on some jeans, which we used to call bell bottoms, is so large kids get tangled up in them. Others are so torn I cannot see spending $70 or more for them. I can go to the thrift store and get a pair that looks the same. It is no wonder Levi's 501 jeans stay at the top of the favorite list.

The classic 501 model is back this year. It is a replica of the 1947 Levi 501. At $200, most men will likely stick with the standard 501. Levi's 501 jeans can be purchased from around $36 to $50. They can also be purchase at almost any mall retailer such as Macy's, JC Penny's, and others. There are also numerous places to purchase 501's online.

There are a variety of Levi 501 jeans, but if you want to purchase a sure fire gift, or get your man a pair of jeans in which he will look hot, go with the regular, red tab 501 Levi's. I'd be shocked for any man to turn down a pair of these comfy classics.

Takeaways
  • Levi's 501 jeans have stood the test of time.
  • Levi's 501 have been chosen among the top three jeans for comfort, durability, and fit.
  • Levi's 501 dress up or dress down.

Great review. My husband and I love Levi's jeans. They are classic and will always be around. I often laugh at the jeans with the holes in them and the thought that people would actually pay the amount they ask for them, it's just rediculous.

The British come over to Florida and buy them in suitcase fulls. They are half the price over here.
