I enjoy this game because it allows you to be in historical places as a soldier in World War II. The graphics are real in comparison to other war type games and enables you to feel as if you are actually in the war location on a campaign. Through the game, you are exposed to places such as Egypt, Pointe du Hoc and even Normandy which are significant locations of the history of World War II.
As part of the Allies, you are exposed to the various strategic locations such as Africa, Russia and England. The goal of the game is to win the war. At the beginning, you are a Russian soldier. To gain access to a new nationality, you must surpass the levels of your current nationality’s campaign. In other words, if you are fighting as a Russian soldier, you must pass through all of the Russian levels in order to gain the opportunity to become a soldier for another nation. However, in some instances, you can access other nationalities by stepping back into prior levels. Additionally, the game offers an educational background in the locations and parties involved in the World War II events.
Unfortunately, the game doesn’t offer much variety with regard to the missions and objectives. The strategy for most missions is the same but the location and dangers vary depending on which part of Allies you represent. Additionally, if you are in a specific campaign, you can not move to a new campaign as the game process must fall within the timeline of the actual World War II events. In other words, as you progress through World War II, you can not move to a battle which occurred at the end of World War II without mastering the battles in between.
