Eco Friendly Christmas Crafts: Recycled Snowman Ornaments

You can make some awesome eco friendly Christmas crafts into great green ornaments for the Christmas tree. Here is a project that recycled used egg cartons to make an eco friendly snowman ornament.

To Make This Eco Friendly Christmas Ornament Craft You Will Need:

1 egg carton

glue

white paint

glitter...leftover craft materials

ribbon or metal hook

googly eyes

To get started you want to cut out two of the egg shaped holders form the bottom of the egg carton. Just the half circle. You will need 6 of these half circles, so you can make 2 Green Christmas ornaments from each of your hold egg cartons.

Paper or Styrofoam egg carton will work just fine.

Now, take two of the halves and glue them together in a ball shape. Repeat this with the other four egg carton cut outs..

Once the glue dries you need to glue the three balls together in a stack, just like you are building a snowman.

You are now ready to decorate your eco friendly Christmas ornament made from recycled materials.

If you have leftover craft paint, then that is the perfect option. If not, then try buying low emission eco friendly house paint from the local home imporvemtn store.

You can also roll the snow man in glue, then in white glitter. This is a great look and completely covers the recycled egg carton material.

Now, use some of the rest of the egg cart to cut out a small flat circle. This will be the base of the top hat. Cut out a strip of egg cart and wrap it is not a cylinder an glue it onto the top of thee circle.

Let the top hat dry. Go ahead an paint it black, then let it dry.

When the top hat dries you can glue it onto the top of the eco friendly Christmas ornament as that hat of the snowman.

Now, use markers, paints, and other recycled craft materials from other project s to make the eyes, nose, mouth am another décor on the snowman craft project.

Once all decoration has dried on yoru eco friendly Christmas ornament you need to add a hook at the top. I like the egg carton material for this craft project because almost any metal ornament hook can be pushed through the material of the top hat and hook the ornament to get it ready to hang.
