If you are looking for a great place in Colorado to skiing or snowboarding then you want to go to Copper Mountain Ski Resort. Copper Mountain Ski Resort is located just 75 miles west of Denver in the heart of Summit County, Colorado. Copper Mountain Ski Resort offers the longest ski season in the Western part of the United States. At Copper Mountain Ski Resort you will find over 2,400 ski-able acres and averages 280" of snowfall during the ski season. And there are 125 ski trails, with 21 % of the trails ranking 'easiest,' 25 % of the trails rank 'more difficult,' 36 % of the trails rank 'most difficult' and 18 % of the trails rank 'expert.' With so many trails, it can be intimidating deciding on where to start when you arrive. Here is my recommendations for the 10 best trails, with trails included for each skill level. If you are just getting your feet wet with skiing you will want to definitely use the easiest trail. By far the easiest trail for beginners or for those looking to see if they remember how to ski is the Green Acres trail. It is a pretty short trail, which make it great for beginners. And it is close to both The Village at Copper and East Village. Another shorty trail is the Loverly beginner trail.
If you want an easy trail but you do not consider your self a beginner you will not want to use the Green Acres trail. Instead you will want to go on up the mountain a little bit for a longer trail. I recommend the Coppertone trail and the Roundabout trail.
If you are an intermediate skier you will want a trail that is a tad bit more challenging. Give the Andy's Encore trail a try. And for something with a few less curves you could try the Bouncer trail. Other fun intermediate trails are the Collage trial and the Timber Ridge trail.
If you think of yourself as an expert skier, try out the appropriately named Hallelujah trail. Or you could try out the equally appropriately named Triple Threat trail.
