It may be a little late, but there are a couple of days to catch "The Nightmare Before Christmas" in 3D.

If you've never seen this classic movie it's the story of Jack Skellington (voiced by Chris Sarandon/sung by Danny Elfman) who discovers holiday doors in the forest and when his curiosity gets the best of him he ends up in Christmas Town.

Since he's never experienced Christmas he tries to bring the tradition with him back to Halloween Town but with disastrous results.

Having watched the movie many times in the past, this was a new experience for me since those old blue and red 3D cardboard glasses are a thing of the past. Experiencing this version was like seeing a live performance. There were so many things I missed in the traditional pan and scan version that this is truly an adventure in movie going.

Add to it the fact I haven't seen a movie (in a theater since June 1993) and this really gives me a reason to get back into the swing of theater going. Plus it was a fun afternoon with my mom since there were only four of us in the theater! Matinees I think are the best way to go.

Hopefully this will be a tradition with them bringing back the movie every year (it was brought back last year) and I'm sure every year will be better and better with new technology.

If you have a chance try and see it before it goes away for another year.
