For many people the winter months are their favorite time of the year, they love snow, snowboarding, and everything that the cold weather entails. For others, myself included, they despise the cold weather, and dread the onset of winter. So where are best places to go for a vacation in winter if you hate the snow?

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is quickly gaining popularity as a great travel destination. With high temperatures in the mid-80's year round, and low temperatures being between 71 and 73 degrees it's constant warm climate makes it a prime winter destination.

Punta Cana offers several all-inclusive resorts, which are very low-cost in comparison to other Caribbean destinations. Besides relaxing on the beautiful sandy beach or lounging poolside Punta Cana offers visitors plenty of opportunities for golfing, tennis, horseback riding, scuba diving, spa treatments, and sport fishing for marlin, sailfish, and dorado.

The Hotel Riu Taino offers all inclusive accomodations for as low as $73 per person per night with others such as the Excellence Punta Cana offering all inclusive packages starting at $177 per person per night.

Florida Keys

In the Florida Keys the months October and November boost temperatures ranging in the mid to low 80's, and temperatures in the 70's for the months of January and February. The tropical paradise of the keys offers visitors the opportunity to be as close to the equator as they can be without leaving the United States. No matter which island of the Keys you decide to visit you will not be disappointed.

Visitors to the Florida Keys will have the chance to bask in the warm Florida sun on the beautiful sandy beaches, as well as partake in various other water sports such as diving and snorkeling, deep sea fishing, or just relaxing on a chartered boat. Onshore activities allow visitors to enjoy the beauty of the islands through a number of various eco-tours, or they can spend their time golfing, shopping, or relaxing at the spa.

You're a great bargain hunter! You put a lot of research into this, and I'd love to spend part of the winter in one of these places.
