I was thinking about getting a good quality flashlight for a while now, but was apprehensive about buying one due to the significantly higher price compared to cheap plastic ones. I use a flashlight on an almost daily basis for jogging at night, camping, hiking, or walking my dog. The problem was, my flashlights always seem to break or burn out after only using them a few times. I decided to spend the money on a good quality flashlight that would hopefully last me a long time. After searching various websites, I decided that the ledwave X-11 was the right choice for me. I ordered from www.batteryjunction.com for $56.00 including shipping, and the service and price were excellent.

Upon receiving the flashlight, I was very impressed right off the bat at the feel and quality of the light. It is clearly well buit, and has a simple, straightforward design. The light has a strong aluminum body, and a tactical look to it. It is surprisingly small, fitting in the palm of my hand. It is also amazingly bright for its size, and fairly lightweight too. The beam is quite focused, which can be good or bad depending on its use. The negative of this is that it doesn't illuminate a wide area such as a room. The positive, however, is that it where it does shine is very bright.

This type of beam is great for running, where you need to be able to see a reasonable distance in front of you, because you are moving at a fairly quick pace. The light lasts for a about five hours to 50% brightness, and about twelve hours total. The on/off button at the base of the flashlight has a rubber covering on it, making the light water resistant.

One unique thing about this light is the battery that it takes, which is a C123 lithium battery, The benefits of this over conventional alkaline batteries are more power and longer battery life, smaller compared to an equal powered alkaline, and a much longer shelf life of ten years .vs three years. The disadvantages of the lithium battery is that it is harder to find in stores, and is much more expensive, at about six dollars each.
