Richmond, Va. - Think Small 4, an exhibit of miniature artworks, opens with a Gala reception on Thursday, November 1, 2007 and opens to the general public on Friday, November 2, 2007.

More than 400 international, national and local artists have been invited to show their miniature artworks. The artworks presented are in all imaginable mediums including watercolor still life, oil on paper, papier-mache, photography, collage, assemblages, gouache on wasli, ink on paper, fused glass, and mixed media.

Popular artists returning to this year's Think Small 4 International Miniature Invitational are Chuck Scalin, Eka Maraneli, Margaret Buchanan, Irene Ward, Dana Frostick, and Travis Townsend.

The exhibit of miniature artworks opens to the general public with a free reception on Friday, November 2, 2007. The Think Small exhibit of miniature artworks runs through December 22, 2007 at the art6 and artspace galleries in Richmond, Virginia.

Miniature Artworks Only

The Think Small exhibit features artworks which measure no more than three inches in any direction. All of these miniature artworks are for sale, in an exhibit that is also a benefit event for the gallery.

The artists were invited to submit one miniature work, or two artworks if they are part of a series. There were no minimum size requirements for the miniature artworks.

If framed, the artworks still measure under 12 inches in any direction.

Gala Reception: The Gala Reception takes place on Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 7pm until 10pm. The tickets cost $30 at the door and you will have the opportunity to see and purchase the small works of art before the general public. There will be live music, mini appetizers, and complimentary drinks (one at each location, according to the press release). There is plenty of parking

The Artists' Opening Reception is Friday, November 2, 2007 from 7pm until 10pm and is a free event.

The Think Small 4 International Miniature Invitational Exhibition is on display from Friday, November 2, 2007 through December 22, 2007.
