American society often values thing of monetary worth and nothing else. At first, my myopic eyes blindly agreed, but I have found something that is priceless: passion, which countless bags of cash cannot replace.
Through the years, I had garnered a respectable reputation as the executive director of a thriving magazine, and life was going blissfully. I had the true American dream: a spacious home in an affluent neighborhood, a Mercedes of childhood fantasies, and the ideal job that all were envious of. What else was I missing? Somehow, in an indescribable way, I felt that a piece of me was completely absent. I constantly ridiculed myself in this preposterous notion: I had the dream life, everything that everyone was envious of, and yet, what was this nagging thought tugging into the strings of my heart? Surprisingly, I found out by a common act: traversing in downtown Indianapolis.
