Jesus walked the road to Calvary,
to take our heavy burdens away.
His walk lightened our loads.
This enabled our own crosses,
as Christians not to be so heavy.
No! Jesus did not have to walk the beaten path.
He was whipped, spit upon, and torn for us.
Jesus paid the price for all of us,
as he took those stripes for us.
Mary felt Jesus' pain.
Mary gave Jesus the strength to go on down the road to Calvary.
She looked into his eyes to encourage him,
when he had no strength to go on.
God shielded his own Son, by giving him an Angel to carry him,
as Mary prayed for him.
Her tears were pure, as they fell down her cheeks.
She held the memories, of his childhood, in her mind.
