Yoplait has a new yogurt called YoPlus that they claim can make a difference in your digestion if you eat it for ten days. While my digestive system is in pretty good shape, I decided to taste it and check out its nutritional information to see if I would want to eat it every day.
The yogurt is packaged in a box of 4-4 ounce cups. One container is considered a serving size. Each serving contains 110 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 10 mg of Cholesterol (3% of the RDA), 70 mg of Sodium (3% of the RDA), 190 mg of Potassium, 21 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of dietary fiber, 16 grams of sugar, 4 grams of protein, 10% of the RDA of Vitamin A, D and Phosphorus, and 15% of the RDA of Calcium.
The taste of this yogurt is quite delicious. It has a soft, creamy texture that caused me to be shocked that it was so low in fat. It tastes like a full fat yogurt. I sampled the Vanilla and Peach flavors. The Vanilla had a nice flavor and a medium level of sweetness. The peach was a little sweeter and had nice bits of real peach mixed throughout the yogurt. They also have cherry and strawberry flavored YoPlus.
Yoplait claims that this product will help your digestive system naturally because of their "Optibalance" ingredient. This is a natural fiber from the chicory root that they blend with probiotic cultures. Of course it is well known that adding more fiber to your diet can help regulate your system, and this seems like a good and natural source.

Did You Know?
The only thing I didn't like about this yogurt is the high amount of sugar it contains... the fact that the vanilla flavor has the same amount of sugar shows that it's source is plain old sugar, the second ingredient listed.
