Thong on a Sportsbike

I'm 31 and for the last 3 years I've been riding a Kawasaki Ninja 636 but i still can't believe the reaction I get from men when i'm out. You would think i had just been beamed down from Venus!

Motorbikes are more and more becoming the transport of choice for women living and working in cities because for those of us who like to wash our hair and do our make-up before we go to work, there's so much traffic on the roads, you have to get up at stupid o'clock just to get in on time. Until I found the wonder of the motorbike! It's fantastic.... no sitting in queues for hours on end - you can just make your way between the cars and get to your destination in less than half the time!!

So...... back to the reaction from men..... why? There's not that big a difference between us - apart from the obvious, and yet I still feel like I'm a freak of nature because I'm a woman on a bike.... the finger pointing, the open mouths bordering on drooling. The last time i went out, I was minding my own business enjoying my ride and I made the mistake of overtaking a van full of workmen. Their faces were literraly glued to the windows and i felt so uncomfortable, i found myself riding dangerously just to get out of their way. It was like looking at a load of chimps in a cage - the van was rocking as they all jumped from one side to the other! Surely it's not that exciting??? I mean really.......

And don't get me started on the bike mags. Every other page has bare boobs, or a girl in a bikini. I'm not a prude and i really don't have a problem with looking at pics of women (although not my choice!) but give me a break. I feel like a lesbian porn addict if I flick through the pages in a shop before deciding which to purchase. I find myself checking over my shoulders in case anyone's looking at me because it gets embarrassing. Then there's the pictures of the bikes with the women draped all over them - you can't even see the bike - what's all that about?? If i wanted to look at pictures of women, i would buy porn. I want to look at pictures of bikes, but it's impossible. When is someone going to realise women ride bikes too?? Women bikers everywhere - stand up and shout! Come on guys... give us a break...
