Superheroes seem to go in trends depending on the movie's release. In the eighties with Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns, Batman merchandise was flying off the shelf and now with the summer blockbuster Spiderman 3 now out on DVD, Spiderman merchandise seems to be everywhere. From action figures to web-blasters, here is a guide to the best Spiderman merchandise for this Christmas and holiday season. Spiderman Operation: The classic board game Operation has had many different variations, from Spongbob Squarepants to Shrek, and now Spiderman has been "admitted" to the Operation room. In this version it is up to you to remove Spidey's web-head, crook in the neck, and webbed feet among other things. It is still the same old game, with a great update and a lot of fun.
Spiderman 3 Action Figures: Action figures have been successful for decades and as technology improves so do the quality of these figures. The Spiderman 3 set of figures are highly detailed and very impressive. Some of the highlights are the Black Spiderman, Venom, and the Sandman. There are variations of all of these characters and dozens of figures to choose from.
Webworld Final Battle Playset: Instead of playing on your living room furniture, a great set for your children to use their figures is the Final Battle Playset. It represents one of the last scenes of the movie with a replica construction site and a huge over-grown Sandman figure. It also comes with Spiderman and Venom figures, trapdoors, and a lot of interactive parts perfect for the Spiderman figures.
Spiderman Spider Spud Potato Head: Ever since Mr. Potato Head was morphed into Darth Vader from Star Wars, every company is trying to get their character turned into one. The Spider Spud is one of the newest released and comes with Mr. Potato Head dressed in full Spiderman garb, removable glasses, ears, and a shooting web. This is a good toy for the younger Spiderman fan or Mr. Potato Head collector.
