Holiday shopping can become stressful with limited time and high price tags. Here is a solution to both problems. Shop online. There are a variety of online features that save you big money. Here is a list of my money saving opportunities.

Amazon
Amazon is a great way to purchase almost anything. Formerly known just for books, cds, and DVDs, Amazon now sells anything from scented soaps, flower arrangements, to fitness equipment at highly reduced prices. If you buy from the Amazon Marketplace, consider joining their Amazon Prime Membership. The first 30 days are free, but afterwards there is a $79 annual membership for up to four people in one household. This is beneficial if you do a lot of online shopping because you get free two day shipping for anything that is sold by Amazon Marketplace. If you need something overnight, there is simply a $3.99 charge. You can make up for your membership in shipping charges alone throughout the holiday season.

Check with your union, guild, or membership policies
I take advantage of all the "perks" that I can. With my AAA policy I can shop for 10% off at Target, 5% off at Barnes and Noble, 10% off at Blue Nile, and 10% off at Circuit City in addition to many others. As a member of my guild, I can get gift certificates at a fraction of cost that I can either give as gifts or apply to online shopping. Check online at your union or guild website for similar offers.

Check circulars in the mail
Many companies offer reduced prices for online shopping or free shipping for first time buyers. Check your mail for promotional codes at these stores. For example, CVS pharmacy frequently sends me a coupon for $10 off a $50 online purchase and offers free shipping. By going to CVS I am able to stock up on gift bags, wrapping paper, cards, beauty supplies, electronics, gift baskets, and candy. It is shipped to my door at 20% off of what I would pay in store.
