Shoebox
Shoeboxes are easy to come by. You should always save shoeboxes from your shoe purchases because they can be used in many ways. One such use would be to use them as a gift holder. Shoeboxes have easy to remove lids which make opening the boxes easier for the gift recipient. The shoebox doubles as a second gift as well. The shoebox can be used by the recipient to make craft projects or as a tool to organize their things.
Cereal Box
Cereal boxes can be a fun box to use when giving gifts. Because the outside of the box is most likely already colorful and decorated you can skip out on the wrapping paper. This type of box also can be easily opened and closed without the use of tape. You may want to place a piece of tape over the closure just to make sure though. If you want to hide the present around the house the cereal box can pose as the perfect disguise. Chances are you will have to reveal the present's location to the recipient.
Boxes from Packages Sent to You
When you receive a package in the mail, you should save the box. It's not recommended to use cardboard boxes to store items for long term storage, so use these boxes to place your gifts in instead. These boxes can be helpful when it comes to wrapping larger irregular shaped objects, depending upon the size of your box of course. If your box came with packing material then you can save and reuse them as well. Remove any labels that you can or write over your address and any other information you don't wish to leave on the box with black permanent marker.
Jewelry Box
If you have an old jewelry box that you've replaced don't toss it, reuse it. You can fill the box with inexpensive costume jewelry you've purchased from second hand stores and give them to a child as a present. Or you can purchase one nice piece of jewelry to put in it, allowing the recipient to purchase their own pieces of jewelry to fill the box with.
