There is nothing more sassy and adorable than pink themed holiday decorations. With so many new items appearing each year on the market, it is completely vogue to "think pink" during the holiday season. Add a touch of rose to your tree this year or use as an adorable present topper with this simple pink stars holiday ornament.

For this project, you will need:

- 3" glass ball ornament

- Delta PermEnamel Air Dry Surface Conditioner

- Delta PermEnamel Air Dry Paint in Cotton Candy Pink

- Delta PermEnamel Air Dry Paint in Victorian Rose

- Delta PermEnamel Air Dry Glitter Glaze

- Sponge brush

- Artist's paintbrush

- Paper cup

- Paper plate

- Star shaped stickers in various sizes

- Newspaper

- Hot glue gun and glue sticks

- Pink satin ribbon (for hanging)

Always begin any painting or glazing project by making sure your workspace is adequately covered in newspaper and that is also well ventilated. Remove the hanging cap from the ornament and set in a safe place aside.

With a sponge brush, coat the entire ornament with Delta PermEnamel Air Dry Surface Conditioner. Turn the ornament upside down and set gently in the paper cup to dry for about an hour.

Apply various sized, star shaped stickers all over the entire ornament. Smooth them gently on the glass ball ornament to secure their adherence. With the sponge brush and Delta PermEnamel Air Dry Paint in Cotton Candy Pink, coat the entire ornament. Turn the ornament back upside into the paper cup and let it set another forty five minutes to an hour.

Carefully remove each of the star stickers, making sure not to smudge any of the pink glaze. Add a small dab of Delta PermEnamel Air Dry Paint in Victorian Rose to the paper plate. With the artist's paintbrush, fill in the detail of the stars on the glass ornament. Again, set the ornament upside down inside the paper cup to dry.

Apply a generous amount of Delta PermEnamel Air Dry Glitter Glaze over the entire ornament. After this has dried about an hour, heat up your hot glue gun. Add a dab of glue to the hanging cap before reinstalling onto the glass ball ornament. Cut a length of pink ribbon and thread through the hanging cap. Tie in a knot.

Takeaways
  • Consider making several of the same ornaments, reversing the shades of pink in your process.
  • Allow all glues and paints to dry between steps.
  • Happy Holidays!
