So Dog The Bounty Hunter goes on a racist rant and A&E takes his show off the air, hoping that this dies down so they can bring the show back. Dog is now "healing" and looking to apologize to black leaders (by the way who voted Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson as co-presidents of the black race?)

Any of this just seem ridiculous?

Political correctness is one of the main things that makes me sick about America. We have free speech, yet when someone voices their views, however tasteless they may be people make a big fuss about it.

Someone should be complaining about taping the phone call and giving it to the Enquirer, whatever happened to privacy?

"Nigger" is just a word. If you are offended by the word that is your own fault. If you are not one you should not be offended. Besides, who really cares what an old man with a mullet and shells in his hair thinks anyway?

Would I ever say "nigger" to a black person? No I wouldn't, that would be disrespectful. Have I ever said the word? Of course, I'm sure I'm not the only one. I use "nigga" on a daily basis as a term of affection. Just like in Dog's case, whatever I say in private is my own business. Now if I say that to a black person I should be expecting a beat down in return, that's how it should be.

I just don't see how this whole Dog deal really matters. I also don't understand how A&E can remove their top rated show ONLY because of this fuss, when they fully plan to bring it back when the flames die down. Why not keep the show running? Get higher ratings. Because they are doing the right thing? No, because civil rights leaders will complain if they don't remove the show and cost them advertisers. It's not about what's right, it's about that money.

All Dog was pissed at was his son's girlfriend saying she would wear a wire to catch them saying the dreaded N-Word, just to pass along to the Enquirer. Dog was wrong thinking this would cost him his career. It will not. Hell, I wouldn't doubt this is all a publicity stunt anyway.

If he would've used the term "white trash" would everyone still be making a fuss? Probably not. Would the show have been cancelled? No. The word he used in the dictionary means "trash". He should have never said it. I don't ever say it. The word is very disrespectful because of how it has been used towards people of color. He was very wrong to use that word. But...as it was stated before...who cares what he thinks! I do not believe the show should've been cancelled. He should have publicly apologized & minded his tounge in the future.

Who should care what a man with ugly hair and a wife that looks like a hooker says? everyone, because they are so called idols and people look up to them. once they start coming out of the closet with their racist ways others will too bring all us "niggas" back to the 50s when we were slaves, raped, beaten, our husbands and children taken away from us etc. need i say more?!!

when I read some of these comment I just laugh at the IGNORANCE of some idiots that post messages here. How do can you say rappers use the word so its ok and that he said it in private so its ok. NONONO!! The only reason why he didn't say it to a black persons face is that he knew he would have gotten knocked the hell out. Not because a person doesnt say nigger to a black person doesnt mean that they are not thinking to say it every second of the day and that they arent racist. He is an undercover racist and he is just mad that he got caught and that his show got cancelled.

I have a comment for the person who wrote the ad titled: Dog the Bounty Hunter Gets Caught Saying the Word "Nigger" Are We All Just a Little Too PC? If I get it right you think that it is ok for people to call say nigger in private, you think we are all a little racist and we are screwing ourselves over by mixing races. Ok I think you have serious issues you have forgotten that this man is a public icon and when he starts ranting racist slurs everyone else will start to do the same. And it will start in private then people will feel so confident that they can just walk around say nigger. I think you want us to go backward instead of moving to a new future. I think 'Dogs' show should stay cancelled if he can speak that way about his daughter-in-law what does he think of a stranger. People are getting a bit too comfy with this whole nigger thing and believing that they can say it in a disrespectful context -in your own privacy or not- stop spreading hate!!

ME PERSONALLY, I am very offended by this article. Because it seems as if in attempts to make Dog sounds good you made yourself and him sound very bad and rasict. The issue I have is when he specific states' "Now if I say that (Nigga) to a black person I should be expecting a beat down in return, that's how it should be." Why would he be expecting a beat down if he says it to a black person? For he states, "If you are offended by the word that is your own fault. If you are not one you should not be offended." After saying what he first stated and then following it with that is basically calling black people niggas. After all the only reason why you would be offended, according to Mr. Washington is if you were a nigga.

The Dog was having other problems with his son who seemed bent on derailing his father's career. Dog's blind spot to his own son blamed everything on her as a scapegoat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ bounty_hunter_dog_gone

It is true people use it the N word all the time pretending to be gangsta and rapper, but the thing is he said that in the privacy of his own home and didn't go up to a black person and say it, if he did then I would think its wrong but you know people use the word, sometimes as to hurt someone but most use it as play and that's the truth but if your so angry at dog saying it why aren't you attacking 50 cent or missy elliot,

Hey WakeUp - nicely put. I agree, foul language is just that, and find the word offensive with or without the "a"

Posted on 11/10/2007 at 10:11:00 AM

oh boy like all of you havent said that word in your lives before even black people you all need to get over yourselves and live your own lives.

Hey Wake Up, Get over it and move on. Don't be so concerned with what others are saying. Live your own life and do better for yourself. You can't control if someone else has "hate" or is a bigot. It's okay if they don't want their son to date a black person, that's their own business. If he wasn't somewhat of a public figure or a star, no one would have known about it. I'm sure when you've been mad with a white person, you've said some racial slur towards them at some point in your life. If you say you haven't, you're a liar. Anyone that says they haven't is a liar. It's the world we live in. Get over it!

Finally, being African-American myself, I am offended by ANYONE who says "nigger" or "nigga". You seem so quick to stand up for people who use a derogatory term and equally as quick to condemn people who are offended by it. Not saying "nigger" is not being politically correct, it's having enough common sense to know that it's offensive to the vast majority of people who hear it. That's backwards anyway you look at it. I don't think it should be used as a "term of endearment" by any race of people. And for the record, "nigga" (with an "a") is also offensive to many blacks. Don't be brainwashed by the rap videos and think we all agree with that BS. Smart people know that when you call each other by derogatory terms, the first thing whites are going to do it point that out and lower their opinions of you. "See, even they think their niggers." And the ever popular cliche, "They say it all the time so why isn't it OK for me to say it?" never dies.
