Concealing Blemishes
Using concealer is essential, do not use foundation for it cannot conceal properly or give you the right amount of coverage that you need to hide the redness. When it comes to finding the concealer that's right for you, you need to find the correct color match, for those of you who have trouble doing this on your own, ask a beauty representative. Choosing concealer based on your skin type is also important, for those of you with dry skin try a liquid concealer along with an oil-free moisturizer to prevent flaking, If you have oily skin it's best to find a concealer that's oil-free along with a makeup base which is applied first, concealers with a creamy consistency work best with blemishes, solid concealers are harder to blend so you may not get realistic coverage.
How you blend can either give you the apperance you desire, or attract more attention to your unslighty blemish then you'd like. To blend properly it's best to use a small concealer brush, start off by applying a small amount of concealer to the brush, (if you use to much it'll cake, and if your skin is dry it'll defianetly end up flaking) dab the concealer on the blemish using the concealer brush, when blending use a tapping motion, otherwise it may rub off. If you find you need a bit more coverage, gradually apply more concealer until you get the desired result, don't overdo it because it will end up looking unnatural. If your looking for long lasting coverage, I suggest using a water-resistant concealer followed by a makeup setter. If you don't find the perfect concealer first time around, don't be discouraged, experiment with different brands and sure enough you'll find one thats just right for you.
